Consultation: What happens in the clinic?

Dr Tan Yia Swam will provide individualised, tailored and personable care. At the first visit, there will be a detailed interview & targeted examination. Some questions may be sensitive, but relevant to your risk assessment for cancer. Dr Tan Yia Swam will then recommend the relevant scans, followed by any additional tests (eg: biopsy).

How to prepare for your first visit with us:

  • Bring documents (photo-ID)

  • Bring any old reports/scans/referral letters

  • Bring your list of questions

  • Be prepared for a physical examination, and scans- minimal accessories, no lotions/powders, comfortable clothing
